The Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare is Victoria’s peak body for the the child and family services sector.
Since late 2018 the Centre has delivered NDIS training in partnership with the Association for Children with a Disability to over 2,000 workers in the child and family sector, parents and carers of children and young people with a disability.
We have developed a NDIS Resource Page that includes over 250 guides, templates, FAQ sheets, and other resources, to help people work their way around the NDIS maze.
Many of the people who’ve attended our training have used the ‘hacks’ we share to increase the size of NDIS plans and to successfully get access to the NDIS -even when they have been previously turned down. On the whole, participants rate our workshops 9.6 out of 10. Here are a few recent comments from participants:
- “I found the training extremely beneficial. I find NDIS very difficult to understand so it was great for me to get such quality training in ‘plain speak’ to help navigate the NDIS model- I believe I could do that training all the time and still learn something new every time. Thank you.”
- “I think the training was highly valuable and have already recommended to others in my team to attend and shared some of the resources with them. I have already been able to use some of my learning in an NDIS planning meeting following this training which helped me to set pointed and valuable goals that will hopefully help us achieve the right amount of funding for the necessary supports.”
- “Trainers were FANTASTIC. Very boring, dry subject matter but trainers were extremely engaging, drawing on their own personal experiences – i felt i gained a really good insight”
Our training is free to anyone who can benefit. We’ll run more sessions starting from February 2021.
